What You May Not Know About Cassidy Keitt:
What type of car is your daily driver?
Since I am not legally able to drive the roads yet lol I don’t have a daily driver, but I take my dad’s old Ford Ranger out around for some fun every now and then.
Has racing always been a part of your family and what age did you start racing?
Yes, racing goes way back in our roots. My great grandpa raced for years as well as my grandpa, he raced go carts and was the state champion in 1992 and now my uncle Ryan is the crew chief for the #7 of Corey Lajoie. I began my racing career at age 7 and started in go-carts at Millbridge Speedway.
What was your very first win?
My first win was in the Beginner Boxstock carts at Millbridge Speedway.
Do you have a pre-race tradition/routine/superstition?
I don’t really have any specific pre-race rituals. I just try to focus as much as possible and mute everyone out to get my mind right.
What’s your favorite paint scheme?
I love my original black and hot pick paint scheme but one of my favorites was the fully wrapped blue and yellow Andy’s themed paint scheme.
Do you have a racing idol?
My racing idols would have to be my grandpa and my great grandpa because even though their racing days are over you will still find them at the track either supporting me or helping out a friend. Their continued passion and drive for the sport is something that I look up to and what makes my love of racing even stronger.
What’s your favorite track or race and why?
I like the Millbridge dirt track, I have so many great memories there. And also the Track House Motorplex road course, I pick it up so much faster there and it’s always a fun time and a great learning experience for me.
What is your favorite treat at Andy’s?
I can't get enough of the simple vanilla custard with Oreos and rainbow sprinkles.
Tell us what you like to do in your spare time that no one else would know.
I love to be at home and play around with my two Labrador dogs, especially hid and seek, they are hilarious at that game.
Tell us about your pet(s) if you have any.
I have two labs one is a chocolate lab and her name is Jewel and I also have a yellow lab and his name is Banjo.
If you weren’t racing what other career would you like to have?
If racing didn’t work out I would like to go to college for engineering to learn more about cars so I can become an engineer.
What activities do you like to do with your family?
I love going on family beach trips with all my family or going to the lake and just hanging out on the water.
What’s your favorite way to celebrate a win?
After a win, I always go to see my family up in the stands before leaving, and then of course I always head to Andy’s to get a treat!
