Andy’s Caramel Apples
As the leaves begin to change and the air turns crisp, there's no better way to embrace the enchanting flavors of fall than with new, delectable Caramel Apples at Andy’s Frozen Custard®! As colorful as the vibrant hues of autumn, Andy's Caramel Apples are the perfect fusion between premium ingredients and culinary creativity. We are proud to use Granny Smith apples, which are selected for their exceptional quality and freshness. The apples are hand-dipped in our our hand-crafted caramel, and then spun in pecans that hail from the original plants of Osage Indians in Missouri, or Reese’s® Pieces. Our caramel apples are a treat that’s awesome to the core, a perfect blend of sweet and crunchy textures with every bite.

About Our American Native Pecans
Andy’s uses American Native Pecans for every pecan caramel apple we make. Sourced from a multi-generational family farm in the heart of the Midwest, our native pecans are not altered, and come from trees up to 200 years old. These pecans were once harvested by the Osage Indians.
Why do we use these pecans to make our caramel apples? Native pecans tend to produce smaller nuts perfect for the size of our apples, have a thicker shell, and they don’t have the bitterness of other pecan types. You’ve got to try one of our pecan caramel apples for yourself to taste their delightful difference!

Step-By-Step Guide on How to Best Serve Our Caramel Apples
Whether you’re treating yourself or planning to share, you’re in for something truly special when you bring home an Andy’s Caramel Apple. Make sure to store your caramel apple in your refrigerator until you are ready to enjoy it. When you are ready to eat, take your caramel apple out of the refrigerator and let it get to room temperature. You are now ready to slice your apple before serving. Not only does slicing our caramel apples make sharing easier and less messy, but it also ensures every slice has just the right amount of luscious caramel and crunchy apple.
Ready to dive in? Here’s the perfect way to slice and enjoy your caramel apple:
Step 1:
Setting Up for Sweet Success
Start by placing your caramel apple on a sturdy cutting board with the stick pointing straight up. This keeps your apple stable and helps you protect that tasty caramel coating. Hold the stick firmly to secure the apple, then with a sharp knife carefully cut the apple on each side of the stick. Once you’ve made your first cut, rotate the apple and repeat on the opposite side of the stick to release two larger sections.
Step 2:
Finish Your Trimming
Next, cut the remaining smaller portions away from stick and discard the stick. These 2 smaller portions left from around the stick will be just as tasty!
Step 3:
Slice for Sharing
Now it’s time to turn those slices into perfect bite-sized treats for everyone to enjoy! Simply take each of the larger portions and carefully slice them into three evenly sized wedges. You’ll end up with six generous slices. Here’s a quick tip: Use a sharp knife and apply gentle, steady pressure as you cut. This helps you slice through the apple smoothly, keeping the delicious caramel coating intact.
