The custard stand in Bolingbrook was a media hub June 11.
Andy’s Frozen Custard Shop hosted US99 personality Trish Biondo as she did a live remote from the site for five hours.
Shortly after that, WLS-TV stopped by and Steve Dolinsky visited for a piece on his Hungry Hound segment of the ABC-7 news.
Before the radio remote Andy’s staff created a dessert in Biondo’s honor, the Biondo Bling. This concoction, features strawberries, pecans and hot fudge to go with the custard, will be on sale throughout the month. A portion of the Biondo Bling sales will benefit St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
